LaStone®
Therapy is a multifaceted technique designed to benefit client
and therapist at once. The sacred wisdom of the stones, the
clinical benefits of hydrotherapy and energy work, blend together
to bring forth-therapeutic potential that goes beyond measure.
This
unique form of massage utilizes 54 basalt, hot stones and
18-22 marble, jade or sardoynx cool stones. Geo-thermo-therapy
is the term to describe the application of stones of contrasting
temperatures for therapeutic effect to the body. Alternating
temperatures creates ‘vascular gymnastics’ of
the circulatory system, assisting the body in self-healing.
Deep relaxation is only one of the benefits; grounding, balancing
and release of energetic holding patterns frequently occur.
Therapists
discover that the stress and strain of their hands, wrists
and elbows is virtually eliminated using this modality. The
stones and thermal variation do all the heavy work, so therapists
are able to work more efficiently for longer periods of time.
All
of those involved in this training will develop more reverence
for their daily work rituals, because respect and appreciation
grow organically from this fertile learning experience.
This is an advanced course of Massage therapy and offers 30
hours of CEU’s
