Botox® and Restylane® are two products that allow for non-surgical facial rejuvenation. Wrinkles are caused by the movement of the muscles under the skin. Injecting Botox® allows selective paralysis of those muscles providing a smoother more youthful look. It will not be as effective for wrinkles that appear at rest, but will diminish wrinkles caused by muscle movement. It is particularly useful for wrinkles between the eyebrows, on the forehead, and the crow’s feet area.
Restylane® and other fillers are used to restore volume and fullness to correct folds and wrinkles that appear at rest. It can also be used to augment lips giving them a plumper more sensual look. They are often used to smooth out the nasolabial folds (the wrinkle between the nose and the corner of the mouth) that can become quite prominent as we age.

Botox® and Restylane® benefits both men and women concerned with their facial appearance. The sun is especially strong in Southern California and often gives people premature wrinkles. Some patients have overactive facial muscles or deep grooves from their genetics, Botox® and Restylane® can be very helpful in combating these conditions.
